Lilac

I love lilac, especially if it's white and very fragrant. I first came across it about 40 years ago when we bought our first house and found it in the garden. We've had one in this house for quite a few years but it has not yet become prolific. This year it decided to up its game but did so when we were in Turkey. However, although some branches are beginning to brown, there are a few that have not. This is one of them. It rained for much of the early morning and then solidly from the early afternoon. The bonus was that it encouraged me to undertake some jobs I don't want to do. Now I have a strong sense of achievement!
