Lost and Found

In years gone by we have always known where to see Little Owl locally but in the last year we have had no luck at all seeing them in the usual places.

After a tip off from another local birder I found out where to look and at last I found the right angle and the right moment to see one. They hadn't gone far after all - across a road and up a hill ( 30 seconds flight for an Owl).

The person who told me where to look I had known of from Bird Forum initially and Twitter more latterly and then I met him walking the same country lane as me.
Much nicer to meet someone in person than read their tweets :-)
