Juvenile
Just as I was returning from The Mother's I got a fright. As I was walking down the narrow lane to my house something moved in front of me.
The young blackbird kept its eye on my for several moments as it tried to keep its balance on the fence. I kept my eye on it while I quietly opened my camera bag and got out the camera. Luckily it had the 60mm lens on which was just right for the closeness of this bird.
I got into the house just in time to see Springwatch so this seemed an appropriate blip. I'm really pleased Bill Oddie is back with them this year, he has done so much to publicise the need to care about birds. I hope depression is a thing of the past for him.
