All around the site where we are staying are house martin nests. Two years ago when we were last here we watched one being built.

This is the current occupant of the one on our patio. The sound of birds chirping is incessant but after a while becomes part of the background relaxing noise. They also help keep the flies and other insects down!

Despite the heat (27oC in the shade) they are constantly on the move - unlike us.
