Handful of seeds

With the fence built, raised beds assembled and soil topped up, we've finally got some seeds in the ground. We're about a month behind schedule but it's an enormous relief to have finally fenced off a larger portion of our yard. The deer may be kept at bay for now, but rabbits, birds and rodents still stand to thwart our dreams of a bountiful harvest.

We've got peas, pole beans, fava beans, zucchini and lettuce in the ground. Now the hard part is getting it to grow.
