They're moulting!!

Along the canal today there were areas that looked like geese had been having wild parties, feathers strewn around everywhere as if they'd really been having fun and letting their hair down - but googling - I believe it may be moulting season whereby the adult geese lose their feathers and don't fly for about 6 weeks, and they do this by water so that they can swim away if they need too! No sign of any geese, just lots of feathers!! Feathers always remind me of The Lone Ranger … and F troop! Ahhh the good old days of black and white tv!! :))
