The Volks Railway
What a lovely day with eldest son and 2 year old Amelia in Brighton. We had a late breakfast at the Yellow Wave Beach Volleyball. a wander around Brighton town centre, a picnic in the garden of The Friends Meeting House and a ride home on the Volks Railway which was opened in 1883. Designed by a Brighton engineer, Magnus Volks, this is the world's oldest operating electric railway. Amelia was enchanted. She waved happily at every passerby and almost had a meltdown when we reached the terminus!
