Reasons to be cheerful

After a day spent working on my Masters Dissertation and MAKING PROGRESS ... yay ... this evening I was back in school for the third and final orchestra concert.  Not working Front of House tonight, so I was able to watch. Always a wonderful event, tonight was especially joyous. As yesterday, the theatre was almost full, so an audience of about 500 and quite a few of them were graduates, going back to 2004.  Several of them performed as part of the show.  At the end of the concert, Mike - English teacher and acoustic bass and guitarist extraordinaire (with whom I performed for the play) was presented with a gift from all the musicians as he is retiring. Jeffrey, much loved department colleague and Art teacher who is also leaving us, was presented with a gift also.  By the time we got to the encore, the audience were on their feet cheering and applauding and hardly a dry eye in the house.
