White Walker at Weston-super-Mare
It was Warwick UK trip again today and the destination was in Somerset :) This is my second coastal UK trip with Warwick. The first time was in Brighton, January of this year, and today we headed for Weston Super Mare. This Somerset town is a very relaxing small seaside town. Similar to Brighton, they also have pier by the sea although visitors have to pay a quid to get to the pier.
I was hoping to be able to ride the donkey by the sea but it was only available for little kids and although i weigh less than 50kilos, i dont think they dont want to make an exception just so i can ride the donkey. It was disappointing but i was able to move on from that after just a few minutes :)
The Sand Sculpture Festival by the sea was a marvel to witness. I remembered the sculptures from Boracay, Philippines made by little children along the shoreline using only brooms as their tools. The artists in the festival though were actual arts students from different countries. Their theme was fairy tales and fables. My favourite is definitely the Gulliver's Travels' sculpture (it was huge!) but i was also amazed by the White Walker sculpture from Game of Thrones. The sculptor was able to capture the "wrinkly" part in the body of a white walker. Pretty amazing skill really!
