Mireille et Mathis

A more relaxing today. First to Tavistock so that they could find some presents for their family. This was followed by a drive onto Dartmoor and a short walk on the moor to Windy Post – well what else would you expect me to do! Fortunately Mireille does lots of walking and enjoys it. Mathis found tadpoles and pondskaters in the leat. This is taken on Barn Hill just above Windy Post.

Next to the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre in Princetown which I would recommend to anyone visiting or who wants to know more about Dartmoor and currently featuring some superb landscape photographs of Dartmoor. Lunch in Princetown and back near home for another short walk to find some cute newborn ponies.

This evening we had the formal dinner at a nearby hotel with speeches in English, French and a translator to help.
