Got a phone call today from a tenant in a flat we own. There is water pouring out of her bathroom ceiling. It's the call that every landlord dreads! When we got there it was coming from the flat above so we contacted the owner. It appears she had work done on her taps back in February and it wasn't done properly. She is very sorry, her workman is very sorry which is all very well but its not going to cover the time and effort required to put it right. Hopefully at least her insurance will cough up!
