THE BIG ADVENTURE: day 6

The Olgas - Kata Tjuta. Kata Tjuta means "many heads" in the aboriginal language. We went to watch the sun set on the rocks . It was simply awesome. The colours were amazing - no photo can do justice to the awesomeness!!

There are 36 domes here, the rocks extend 6 kilometers under the surface of the earth and are the remains of erosion that began more than 500 million years ago. The area is sacred under Anangu men's law and therefore the ancient stories of these rocks are not known even to this day, except to initiated aboriginal men.

Tomorrow we will see the sunrise here and then in the evening, we have a dining experience under the stars at The Rock - Uluru!

This is an awe inspiring place indeed...........
