Spirit of the forest

A quiet kind of day. Communion in the morning, and then a pleasant day spent pottering and packing for our two day trip tomorrow, as we get picked up at 7.30am.

The HG has been busy in the garden, doing some maintenance work on the decking, and I noticed that he had put up the little 'spirit of the forest' that he bought when in Austria this year from the woodcutter. We already have one, but he wanted a new one as the other is a bit faded now.

I think it is scaring away the birds!!!!
