When I go down to my little cottage to prepare for my next guests, sometimes I encounter the unexpected. The guests we'd had in over Christmas had had a lovely time building snowmen. Looked like the snow had been rolled all the way from Holyrood Park as there was definitely grass in there. But I didn't think it was really the kind of welcome I wanted to give our next guests, so I had to redistribute the snow in an effort to unblock the drainage gully outside Craigwell Cottage. One of the stranger tasks I've had to do to prepare the cottage - another involved a squirrell and a plastic bag, but that's a whole other story!
