MEMORIES
I've been throwing out quite a lot of stuff recently and came across a large sheet of an engineering machine drawing. It was drawn by my grandfather Fred Parkinson who was a draughtsman with Bradbury Saunders in Radcliffe, Lancashire. This is just a small part of it. He went on to become a director of the firm and he always seemed to have a pencil perched over his ear. The firm made machines related to the textile and paper industries and I think many were related to printing — both textiles and wallpaper including some for Sanderson.
There's a picture of one of the company's machines here.
