The story of the range rover..
So... last night i wanted to tell you the story of the range rover or should i say range rover driver who thought he could drive anywhere but i was shattered so i will tell you the story tonight..
Stephen and myself decided to go to Seaford to watch the sunset on the beach. I was going to capture the Newhaven harbour from the east side like i didhere back in December but then decided we should park nearer Seaford Head and walk along back to Tidemills..
We parked up and this is when i noticed a few people gathering and watching a 63 plate Range Rover trying to drive up the built up pebbly beach.. The Beach has to be built up for sea defences... Everyone watching seemed to be uttering the same words "why would he do that, why would he take his vehicle onto the pebbles?" You can see the set of photo's here on my flickr Then a Porche Cayenne became involved.. I think the idea was, he was going to help pull him up the beach... He briefly became stuck with his wheels spinning around... The crowd was building and still people were muttering "omg!! why!!" Also the nationality was in question of the vehicle owners and the concensus ...... they were Russian..Not saying any thing against the Russians though!! Also a few thought that they had driven onto the beach to drop of all the fishing equipment bearing in mind the proximity of the car park is only a few feet away again why????
After an hour of watching, listening, taking pics i started to shiver and could take no more of the unexpected entertainment and suggested we go home and hope they found away out of their predicament.. We returned to the car and headed home via a small village, i wanted to see if it was worth a blip sometime soon and yes it is.... We also almost got sandwiched between two massive John Deere tractors, now that would have been one hell of a blip! Anyway our curiosity got the better of us and we returned to the beach and 'ta-da' the Range Rover had been pulled
back on to concrete i bet there was a cheer from the crowd and i wished i had stayed to see the joy. Only i don't think there is much joy as the men gathered around looking under the wheel arches mumbling something along these lines... "KOLESA RAZBITY!! the car DIDN'T sound too healthy what so ever!!!
Today was quieter except for the argument i had with a neighbour over a fence but that's a story for another day.. unless you've already read it on my FB page.. Also managed a lovely walk, a visit to Brantano and a trip to the Marina ...
