Beneath the Ben

Ben Nevis will dominate my horizon for the next few days. It's head spends much of its time in the cloud, but at times the sun will bathe the climbers on its summit. Ben Nevis stands guard, the southern sentinel of the Great Glen. This next week, I and some 60 other sailors will progress up the Glen toward Inverness. I have never done anything like this before. A long days travel is done. Ferry, car, bus. For the next week progress will be made at 6mph or slower. I can't wait.
