Launch Day

22 boats are taking part in the Sail Caledonia 2014 event. Today is registration and launch day. And the sun shines. It all goes smoothly - all the boats are launched without mishap. There are racing yachts from Holland, little one man boats from France, a fishing boat from the Moray Firth, a Viking long boat replica from Shetland and modern plastic boats too. The word eclectic was invented for this purpose. This is supposed to be a light hearted race as well as a rally. The sun is shining for now. Let the fun begin.
