Sizzling Sunset

Manual Setting Challenge: DAY:3

We went down to the Burnett River in Bundaberg tonight to try and capture the sunset. Being unfamiliar with the territory we trooped around for a while to try and find the best vantage point.

Finally we perched on the board walk on the eastern side of the river. This was my first attempt with manual settings to try and capture the sunset.

It was fascinating for me to come home and load the images onto the computer and compare the settings for the images. For us this was the most dramatic of the images. I had difficulty capturing the sunset and doing justice to the river at the same time.
As you will see there was a massive black cloud on the eastern side of where the sun was setting so the light was quite dark and dramatic.
