at home with an Ivysaurus

Sometimes Ivy just walks all over me...

Poor Ivy seems to have a cold- might explain yesterday's awful afternoon. Her nose spent all day running (aka. she spent all day wiping snot in my neck)- she's been reasonably chirpy despite this though. In the afternoon, unsure of what we could do for fun when it was raining outside and she was a bit under the weather- I covered her room in post-it-notes for her to pull down. She enjoyed that. She also very much enjoyed the music we had on whilst doing it (Theme from star wars, good choice Pops), she loves music. She knows the CD player in her room makes music and gets excited when she sees us going near it.

Went on a trip to the postoffice to post a finished stuff sack i've made to it's buyer and to send our halfbuckle wrap carrier to my sister to try. It turns out Ivy will fit in a small parcel royal mail box. At least I now know if her Granny Grant kidnaps her, pops can send her back easily enough....

When Euan got home, she went sprinting across the room towards him. We played upstairs with her in the nursery attempting to get her to crawl from one end of the room to the other to knock down block towers and go through her tunnel- we actually lost track of time and played past when dinner should be.

She did decline to take a proper afternoon nap, which meant she was overtired by bedtime and didn't want a massage. Her nose was too blocked up for her to breastfeed properly- she kept coming up for air. We've covered her chest in 'snufflebaby' and sent her to bed. Hopefully she'll be less snotty come morning.
