Broadcasting House, London
The home of the BBC. Construction started on the original Broadcasting House in 1928 and the first radio programmes were broadcast in 1932. It was designed by George Val Myer and is Art Deco.
From 2003, the building was extensively refurbished and extended with a modern glass and steel extension that echos the original building to create a horseshoe and forecourt which you can see in the picture.
You can also see the join between old and new buildings behind the news crew.
It is the largest live broadcasting centre in the world, broadcasting 42 languages of the BBC World Service, 7 national radio stations, BBC News, Newsnight and The One Show every day. It is also the location for the filming of the comedy 'W1A' which parodies working life in the building.
