Essential Transport

For those of us who live on islands off the coast of BC, the ferries are an essential mode of transportation. We depend on them to take us to Vancouver Island or to the mainland and to bring all kinds of goods and services to us.
Many people also depend on the ferries to commute to work and school. This is the Howe Sound Queen coming into the dock at Vesuvius Bay. It's the ferry that transported me to and from work for almost 20 years. Vancouver Island is in the background. Crofton is the little town on the left and the pulp mill is on the right.

This may be my entry for the weekly challenge of Transport.
