Pink season

at this time of year, when the spring bulbs have faded and the summer perennials are yet to bloom, the meadow cranesbill and aqualegia provide soft pink colour in the sea of green. Sweet William, spurge and marguerites will soon produce their bright colours, with the roses and clematis, but for now pink rules the garden.
