Fledgeling

This young crow fledged its nest at the bottom of the garden today. It's and ugly little brute, one that only a Mother could love. Taking the photograph was like a scene from Hitchcock with the parents squawking overhead. It made me think of my own fledgelings, thankful that they are housed and fed and praying always for their safety.
