The Big Freeze

It's getting even colder than it was over Christmas! Supplies of salt are running low and gas is starting to be rationed for business use.

Everyday there are problems with the trains and there is now a reduced service on the vital Edinburgh-Glasgow route. There are sheets of ice on some pavements, which I was painfully reminded of yesterday when I hit the floor hard near Haymarket. One passer-by asked if I was ok and another told me "it hurts doesn't it!". I have bruises on my knee, wrist and bicep.
