Progress on the old cinema

On a day of heavy showers and little inspiration I thought I would give a progress report on the old cinema site.

Due to the prevailing weather conditions and to allow construction to start the builders have erected a makeshift tent. This has enabled them to start construction on the stone front to the houses. Fortunately all the foundations and rendering of the end walls of neighbouring properties were completed in the decent weather.

Despite the stone looking fresh and new we feel once it weathers it will be a vast improvement on the brick derelict building it replaces.

Just interested how they will deal with the bit of wall that juts up above the property in the foreground which they left in situ when they demolished the old building.
