Second World War Sea Defences

70 years ago the country was preparing themselves for Operation Neptune. I can't imagine such bravery from these guys often very young. I try to put myself in the mothers shoes but it is too terrible to think of.

I went down to the beach to see if I could take a sympathetic blip. Large

D-Day according to Wikipedia is a military term, the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. I am still not really sure what the D stands for - Designated maybe. D-Day is tomorrow.
