D-Day Spitfire

Trying to be sympathetic on such an important day so found this Spitfire as a Wartime Blip. Large The Normandy invasion has now started, 70 years on.

Funeral today for my neighbour and such a lovely sunny day it was, I went along myself as I do most things on my own these days. Later I sat with some girls I knew and ate loads.

You don't really get upset at an elderly gentleman's funeral but I did feel sad thinking of his poor widow on her own after 40+ years of marriage. I always imagine how I would feel. I will keep an eye on her.
