Shades of Green and Pink

All over the woods on Gillies Hill there are clumps of rhododendron bushes and this year I seem to think that more are in flower than I have noticed before. Even on quite an overcast day there were clear reflections in the old pond near Polmaise Road, the pinks contrasting nicely with the varied greens of the foliage.
This is another part of the woods which could be affected if the resumption of quarrying goes ahead.
If you can please try to support the Annual Walk of the gillies on 22nd June.
