Cotehele Mill

A family trip out to Cotehele Mill. Lunch at the quayside by the old lime kilns and Matthew was really curious about this ship. He attempted to mortally wound some tourists by lifting a 50kg oak hatch, but fortunately there was no one underneath. It’s good to keep the National Trust volunteers on their toes otherwise it's dull at this tidal riverside idyll.
Then we strolled/fell-ran up to the mill, working, restored, grinding. Good stone cutting chat. Really enjoyable. Back to the quayside for high-speed scones and icecreams, then home to the holiday house for a few rounds of football with the other children. Great day.
