In the Clouds

It can begin about this time of year, the rainy season of late summer.

It may be sunny or partly cloudy in Anchorage or the Valley to the north, but many times the clouds hang over the mountains in near perpetual rain.

So, you can commonly and literally climb up into to clouds.

This is the trailhead to Powerline Pass. Not a very romantic name for a place. Probably named by a bunch of linemen. But a powerline does go through the pass to the south.

This view would also qualify for a green assignment. It wasn't too long ago that we were trying to avoid green. That's hard to do.
