Spoilt By the Rain

After some rain last night today has been mild but dull with a little bit of sun this afternoon. Rain is on its way, so they tell us! and it is to rain for just about a week, which may cause more flooding for parts of the city. Not good news!

This Polyanthus has very larger petals and it very beautiful, the rain has knocked it about a bit. I got it my mixed box and there are some really beautiful ones that are just starting to come out. Lovely surprises!

The Polyanthus Fairy Poem:

"How do you do, Grape Hyacinth!
How do you do?"
"Pleased to see you, Polyanthus,
Pleased to see you,
With your stalk so straight
and your colours so gay.
"Thank you, neighbour!
I've heard good news today."

"What is the news, Polyanthus?
What have-you heard?"
"News of the jov of Spring,
In the song of a a bird!"
"Yes, Polyanthus, yes,
I heard it too;
That's why I'm here,
with my bells in spires of blue."

Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong
