Dirt tracks galore!

Up at 6 this morning so set off to Coober Pedy. Watched the sunrise as we were driving. Went up a long dirt track. There was a sign at the start that said 4WD only. Luckily Mother didn't see it.
Saw Emus, dingos, heaps of Roos, lizards, massive eagles and obviously cows and sheep. The emu came running out in front of the camper van as did masses of Roos. Stopped at Leigh's Creek which was a strange place with masses of aboriginal people. Mother paid to use a bit of Internet before we set off up to Marree. A police car with flashing lights came rushing behind us. Not sure how long he was there as the dirt road was making it so dusty. Got so worried as mother was making sandwiches in the back whilst I was driving!! So thought he was telling us off for that. Luckily he was just finding out if I was travelling by myself or not because if you are travelling by yourself you have to give your name in so you don't go missing. He then asked if I where I was going to see if I knew what I was doing. On the Oodnadatta track there were hardly any cars. Scenery is crazy how it changes so fast. Masses of long flat red dirt tracks. Stopped to have a look at Lake Eyre South. So many salt lakes along the way that had dried up. Next stop was William Creek to fill up with petrol. Got to Coober pedy after the sunset. Stayed in a camping site called Stuart. Had couscous for supper.
