View from on high!

This morning we have seen Spotted Flycatchers here ....... first time I've ever seen them! Also we had Curlews & Oyster Catchers flying overhead! What a great start to the day :-)

This afternoon we went to Grassington. After a short walk round we carried on a little further up the road to Grass Wood. We had a super walk through the wood ...... though it was rather more hilly than we are used to! Made my legs & back ache!!! Note to self ...... try to get some hill walking practice beforehand!

When we finally emerged from the wood we realised that we were quite a long way from where we had parked the car ....... so we walked back along the road.

We saw lots of birds during our walk ..... including Oyster Catchers, Lapwing, Gooseander & Common Sandpiper along the river bank. When we got back to the car a pair of Red Deer ran across the road right near us!!! A fab day all round :-)

This view was taken from the road at the top of the hill ..... although I had taken lots of other shots this was the one that kept drawing me back ....... do hope you like it too. The 'black spot' in the sky is actually a bird flying by! :-)
