Happy Diamond Wedding Anniversary Day

This is the happy couple posing with a poster version (Thank you Max Spielman!) of a scan of one of the original wedding photos of 60 years ago, 7 June, 1954.

We've had a lovely day eating too much, drinking just a little(!) and having lots of happy conversations sharing memories. As well as the original bride and groom, we also had here the Best Man, an adult bridesmaid, a little girl bridesmaid, the page boy, a cousin of the bride whose baby was in a pushchair(Yes, he ws here too!), a school friend of the groom, the best man's girlfriend (now wife) and others who have become associated with original wedding party members over the years.

Of course we had far too much food so some are coming back tomorrow to help us finish it all off!

I hope we have managed to create a new memory for Mom and Dad which will fill the coming days with lovely things to think about and reflect on.

It's really been a momentous day.
