Sunny, soaked and songful Saturday

We started the day with the boys' swimming and taekwondo.

Followed it up with the annual visit to the Campsie Show. I'm sorry Campsie Show, but I've had enough of traipsing around a muddy field in the pissing rain looking at cows and tractors. There's only so much a girl can take. The boys loved it of course, so we'll be back next year. Can't wait.

The evening was spent in much more civilised surroundings as hubby and I took ourselves off to the Tall Ship to watch the Glasgow Chamber Choir. They were pretty amazing. There were a couple of favourites for me - Selkie Song was the first one and then Sleep. Selkie Song was a haunting song about the Highland Clearances and Sleep was a beautiful, beautiful song that made the act of going to sleep sound like a religious experience. It really was quite something.

Hubby and I rounded off the evening with a couple of drinks down the local.

All good.........apart from the Campsie Show.
