Norwich Peace Camp 2014

Each year a 1-day 'peace camp' is held in the Forum in the centre of Norwich which brings together groups and individuals who are committed to working towards a more peaceful and fair society.

Rol spent a couple of hours helping on the Green party stand and I helped with the Norwich People's Assembly stand before we then travelled over to Cambridge for the 40th annual Strawberry Fair, a 1-day free community festival organised by an independent group of volunteers without any funding at all from the local city council.

After a rainy start the sun came out in and both events reminded me life is not all doom and gloom and there are many people around who aren't just in it for the money (as it were).
