CCC: Small Tortoisehell Butterfly

Thank you so much for sending my picture of Corpus's library to the spotlight; that was a thrill :o)

I found this small tortoiseshell butterfly on the pink valerian this morning: it loved it and would fly around and back to another inflorescence when I got too close and disturbed it. I loved its banded antennae and patterned compound eyes...

I put some others up on Flickr; they're left from my alternative.
