THIS BOY!

This boy, this very boy, got his S1 report home tonight. I was nearly greeting with the contents, "Excellent"' written for the subject areas and even an "exceptional" thrown into the science teacher's blurb about his work. I'm not daft, there was a smattering of mentions of his chattiness and his need to focus more here and there to give him something to work on. And there will maybe be reports in coming years that make us worry, nag him to work harder, to do more, but right now, by all accounts, he's doing the right thing and most importantly, I can tell he is happy. Far cry from the anxieties of some of the primary school years...... And here is the wee man of the moment himself, all camouflaged up to go off wildlife watching with his Dad at Formartines on a Friday twilight.
