joyeux anniversaire

Into Nyons this morning to meet up with Don. He arrived with Gill, Sandy, and Margaret and then my dad, Uncle Wes, and Auntie Ju appeared as well. We got lots of coffees at the Palmiers and then had a wander around the stalls at the marché provençal.

Pierre had cycled into Nyons earlier and rode home before us to get Don's birthday lunch on the go. He made carbonara and it turned out brilliantly. So tasty! I'd made the birthday cake the previous night so we were all set for dessert too :)

Had a siesta, then a wander down to the river where we crossed the water in our bare feet....the water's lovely and it may be time for our first dip soon!

Wes, Ju, and dad came round for an apéritif this evening. They were surprised at the size of the house compared to what it looks like from the outside.

Wes was 70 last week so I sent him back over the road to dad's with half of the birthday cake :)
