At Home: Tiny Toad....

We found this little friend in the dogs water bowl. The children squealed just as the dog went to drink and they saw something moving. The huge rescue, meant that the dog looked a bit put out, as its water bowl was made into a Toad rescue centre.

After some lengthy negotiations that Toad was moved from the kitchen surface and outside, where it finally slipped back down under the house to join its family. Its times like this, (at the animal release stage) if you are not careful that your children descend into all out sobbing or anger at your apparent inability to care for sick animals .Since the baby toad was not at all sick, I am more interested in a toad not jumping into my salad. I am sure that every parent is however qualified to join the peace corps.....x
