You get used to it...

The roads in Central and Eastern Christchurch (where we live) are very much in major repair mode since our big EQ 3 years ago, and now as we drive around I suppose we are getting used to it! I drive down this inner city road at least 2-3 times a week. At present it only has one lane open, is very bumpy and rough to drive down. It has been like this for months and the guys have been busy doing all the under ground work such as drain/sewers . I kept thinking I should get a blip of this because one day soon they just might get up to finishing it and it will look completely different ! Most of the buildings here have been demolished too but eventually there will be some rebuilt and it will look like the busy place it once was.
