Sunshine Singsong Shiny purple people pleaser

Steph has picked up her brand new VW camper van and trailer from Englandshire. She drove it all the way back up to Scotlandshire, bemused by fellow road users beeping her cheerily along every step of the way and filming and taking pictures of her getting her motor running in the grin-mobile as they passed by.

Sam, along with Steph's boys, enjoyed being picked up from school in the cheesy grin inducer in front of all the lesser mortals faced with a walk home or enduring a ride in a mere mortal car. Even my wee black Betty would struggle to retain her dirty cool beside this purple fruitcake. Tess got a wee hurl in it tonight, as did I. Definitely a smile maker. It has a shiny chrome encased tyre you just want to stroke, a smooth steering wheel you just want to grasp and a gear stick fit for grabbing and shouting "Engage!, warp factor no more than 60mph please". Then there's the manual in Portuguese, as it came via Brazil.

I've been invited on a wifies weekend over the summer, I chickened out of her trip to the Download festival this weekend in favour of Echo and the Bunnymen's rescheduled gig on Wednesday, but even the latter may not be happening now. Cest la vie! I know for absolute certain that I'm definitely going to buy a tartan rug, a flask of the national drink and some shades for the Thelma and louise weekend. And some toilet roll, because there's a toilet on board, oh yes! And a hob, fridge and even the seatbelts make me excited. It's even got a chopping board, otherwise known as the inboard drinks tray.

It doesn't have a name yet though. The boys will soon come up with something.
