Mark II moth trap

I've been modifying my home-made Skinner type moth trap this afternoon. It now has legs to raise it off the ground and a transparent roof to keep the rain out. Although the actinic light tubes are OK in the rain (unlike the proper mercury vapour lamps, which burn so hot that they explode if hit by rain drops), a heavy rain shower one night recently made all the egg boxes soggy and drowned a few of the captured moths. I don't know if the new roof will affect the catch - tonight will be the big test.
