Boo!

I don't know if this is the goose being chased by the swan, or its mate, but they didn't seem to be irking the swans this evening - not that they were doing anything before, the swan attack was completely unprovoked.

Sadly the swans have lost a cygnet - there were only six today. I wonder what happened, as they were already quite big - larger than a mallard.

I spent most of today getting ready for a week's walking holiday in Italy - I leave Edinburgh on Saturday. They say things expand to fill the time available, and I can vouch for that.
