Derby Velodrome

I spent the day at the iPro Stadium, DCFC's football ground. Organising and presenting at a work event for 170 people. It went well, phew !!

Next door to the stadium a velodrome is being erected and its colourful shiny surface is very imposing. I went to get a blip but the construction gates were locked and this was taken from under the gate. It will be a 5000-seat arena and will host high-level cycling events, as well as other sports including basketball and volleyball.

It will also be a concert venue.

Work is expected to finish in November with it opening in January 2015. It looks a promising development for Derby.
