Doing as Dad Does

Lunch down at the lake today. The swan family is still doing well and they still have seven cygnets, so no casualties so far.

The father seems to be teaching the kids that it is fine to try to beg for food from visiting boats. Later while we were having lunch they brought the water taxi to a stop by blocking the jetty and declining to move for a few moments before slowly moving out of the way.

Later on we came across this family of ducks, these are the first ducklings we have seen.

This evening for the third day we have had a thunderstorm, unlike last night it came with some rain this time. The bar is all set up for the Italy game at midnight (against England), hopefully the weather is not going to spoil the fun!
