Greenway

A walk along the Greenway to Tremezzo today took us past this chap as we passed through Mezzegra. I expect he spends quite a bit of time acting as look out. I was just taking a picture of him (it may be her) when the church clock started chiming twelve. I am not sure whether he did not want his photograph taken, or he does this whenever the the clock chimes, anyway he started to howl. After a couple more quick shots of him howling I decided I better move on in case I was the cause of all his howling.

We got to the bar at Tremezzo just before 1pm. There was a hint of rain, we debated whether or not to sit outside under an umbrella, but decided to sit just inside the door. Lucky we did as a few minutes later the heavens opened with the addition of a strong breeze. All those sitting outside headed inside, and together with people passing by who also came in the bar became very crowded.

After lunch we waited until just before 3pm before heading down to the ferry for the return to Lenno. We were lucky as the rain eased off while we made our way back from the ferry terminal to the apartment. We were no sooner back than the rain resumed and remained for the rest of the day.
