Apollo the Alpaca

A late blip tonight as I'm just back from visiting my sister, she is still convalescing but has a home visit planned for Tuesday when she will go home with an occupational therapist who will assess whether she is ready to cope with looking after herself. I think she is a bit apprehensive as it is eight weeks since she has been in her own house, but on the other hand she feels she would like to be home. We shall see!
My granddaughter and I went to a silk painting workshop today, it is part of her 13th birthday present. She took to it so well and produced a wonderful scarf for her mother, mine looks pathetic compared to hers. The workshop was held at an Alpaca farm and craft studio so we got to see the babies, five have been born in the last two weeks - four boys and a girl - with two more due next week. This is Apollo, he was born ten days ago. They are so cuddly, adorable and very friendly too.
