Leaf of a Young Oak Tree

It is really difficult to believe that this huge 'winters leaf' comes form a very young oak tree. Our neighbors across the street from us, Francois and Hannelie planted this 'twig' about 2 years ago, it is still a very thin tree, although it fights a winning battle to be higher than their double story house! This leaf is way bigger than a man's hand!
